About Study Tour

Study Tour is organised by a committee of study association the VSV ‘Leonardo da Vinci’. Learn more about this committee and our history.

VSV ‘Leonardo da Vinci’

Established in 1945, the Study Association of Aerospace Engineering Students ‘Leonardo da Vinci’, is composed of more than 95% of all students at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering of the Delft University of Technology. The faculty is constantly growing, and growing strongly. Currently there are approximately 2500 members, making the Association of Aerospace Engineering Students the largest society of its kind in the Benelux. The goal of the VSV is to enrich student life on three fronts: education, career and social.

Study Tour

Every year the VSV ‘Leonardo da Vinci’ organises a Study Tour taking approximately 30 experienced students to countries around the world. During this tour, a wide range of company and institution visits are organised, allowing the students to familiarise themselves with the local (aerospace and technology) industry and culture. The tour aims to transcend participants’ borders, incentivise their development into intercultural, inclusive engineers with a global perspective.
As a preparation for the tour, the participants will partake in a professional 80 hour case that is offered by the faculty or companies in the industry. This case offers experience in the aerospace sector which, combined with the experiences during the tour will help students find an internship, thesis project or job.

Study Tour 2026 ‘Equinox’

This year’s Study Tour, ‘Equinox’, will visit two countries: Canada and Brazil. Countries with each a unique and rich history, but different approaches towards the aerospace engineering industry. In these countries, students will join a diverse range of cultural and social activities to immerse themselves in the new environment. Additionally, they will have free time for self-exploration.
During the visit, companies with different sizes, international reach and experience will be visited to visualise the numerous options the students from the faculty of Aerospace Engineering might have during and after their studies. By getting involved in the Study Tour, companies can increase their outreach and obtain a direct line of communication with ambitious, passionate, and dedicated Aerospace students from the TU Delft.
